Day 3

Got up at 6.30am and had a slight headache. Weighed myself and lost another 3lbs. 5lbs in two days so worth the effort! This is what 5lbs of fat looks like. Needless to say I am very pleased!

Breakfast:
I had a boiled egg and 500ml of water. Just giving grapefruit a miss. I then did a 40 minute walk after dropping my son to school. Not uploading a new egg pic so here is the one i had yesterday lol.

Lunch 13.20pm:
This time made a big plate full of banana, strawberries, apple, plum, red and green grapes, raspberries and blackberries. Mmmmmmmm. I will upload a photo later as I am not sure where it went.

Dinner 17:50pm:
Had 2 grilled george foreman lamp chops and salad. Resisted salt as I really wanted it. Another 650ml of water. Quite content with the day.

Day 2

7am
I made it 😀 No snacks last night.
I didn't sleep great as I had a slight headache last night.

Weighed myself this morning and I've lost 2lbs.  Looking forward to food today. Just boiling some eggs for me and my son

Breakfast 7.45am:

I had a boiled egg. I couldn't eat the grapefruit. I managed around 3/4 of a segment. I might try juicing it because apparently there is a fat burning enzyme in it.

Midday and I am hungry. Looking forward to steak tonight. About the only thing giving me hope for the diet today :)

Lunch 12.30pm:

I had 2 grilled chicken(on george foreman) and 4 whole tomatoes cut up. I have drank about a liter of water. Filled me up. Headache is still lingering but may be due to little sleep last night.

3pm update
Feeling quite full today. A bit lethargic but hard to know if it's the diet or lack of sleep. Stomach Wa a little unsettled for a bit but now it's fine and headache is gone:)

Dinner 6.40pm:

From lunch felt quite full. Drank another litre of water before it. Did a small rump steak on george foreman and cut any visible fat off after. Had a big plate of salad to go with it. Grapefruits still a no go. Feeling very content with today. Was very easy and very filling. 2 days down. Weigh in tomorrow morning :D

Day 1

So this morning I did a shop for the first two days of ingredients. I did not buy celery so I have just left it out. I am not looking forward to grapefruit but if I do not like it I will simply cut it out. I will update this as I go along. I can do this :) My sister and friend are going to follow this diet from Thursday so looking forward to having someone join me on this journey and share my pain :)

Breakfast 9am
One slice of hovis white thick bread and 3/4 of a tomato sliced and grilled. 660ml of water. Was not that filling but better than starving myself. I will try drink more water through out the day to fill myself up.

Lunch 12.30pm
Got hungry at 12.30pm and made a fresh fruit salad. Had blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, green grapes and plum. All I can think of is food. I am not necessarily hungry it is just the thought of being on a diet makes me want to eat the cupboards and everything in it lol. Water definitely helps curb the hunger pangs. Going to drink more now.

2.30pm update
Feeling quite hungry now. Feel a little bit of a tension headache. I should have made a bigger fruit salad for lunch and bulked it out with banana to fill me up. Alas, I will drink water until dinner time in the hope that it curbs it. I will have dinner at 5pm and then hopefully will sleep early.

Dinner 16.50pm

Made a massive bowl of salad(lettuce, cucumber, whole tomatoes cut) and two boiled eggs. Had to battle with my mind as I made pizza for my son and all I could think of was to pick a bit of pepperoni off and eat it but I resisted. I couldn't bring myself to eat the grapefruit so I went without.

Today has been hard in some ways. All I did was think of bad foods but then I kept telling myself it is ONLY A WEEK and what do I want more......bad food or to lose a stone. I picked the loss of a stone :) Drank another litre of water. Going to try to go to bed early tonight as I have been up since 5am. Roll on day 2. Feeling proud :)

Lose a stone in a week

Here are the basics. I am following the chemical diet I seen on another site which James Duncan published. I am going to follow it religiously for a week. The diet is as follows: (taken from http://www.jaduncan.com/2006/04/how-i-lost-stone-in-week.html) Not my diet or his.

Their Rules

  1. No alcoholic drinks.
  2. Permitted drinks: Black coffee, tea, lemon/grapefruit juice without sugar.
  3. No milk, butter or fats.
  4. NO EATING BETWEEN MEALS
  5. Abstain from all not included in diet. Eat what is shown or go without.
  6. ONLY DIET FOR ONE WEEK IN THREE - TWO WEEKS OFF
  7. No substitutes allowed. The basis of the diet is chemical, not the quantities.
  8. Lunch and dinner may be swapped but only on the same day.
  9. GUARANTEED TO LOSE ONE STONE IN ONE WEEK.

His Tips

  1. The grapefruit sourness is a lot more bearable with pink grapefruit. Also, if you have a sweet tooth normally, bear in mind that grapefruit sweetens a lot in the last stages of ripening.
  2. I am used to eating like a pig, and thus had a lot of “empty stomach - must fill” type feelings. Drinking lots of water filled me up temporarily.
  3. If you are desperate for flavour on some of the blander dishes, add a little lemon juice. On the list of allowed drinks and can pep up things nicely.
  4. If you try the diet and it works for you, leave me a comment. I’m curious to see if it works for other people.
NB: This is not my diet, I merely transcribe; do not sue me if you die - James.
Now for my stats:
I have been eating healthyish and walking for the last month. I have lost a stone and currently looking to kick start the next stone off. I am 5ft 7(171cm) and weigh 13.5 stone(85.7kg). I will weigh myself each morning before I eat or drink. I am 35 (36 in 2 weeks) and I am female. This week I will not be excercising due to low calorie intake.

I will add pics throughout the diet
